More than 88 million employees are responsible for managing their own retirement assets. However, it’s estimated that these same employees lose $100 billion every year due to investment mistakes! (1)

“Analysis consists of looking at the same thing as everyone else and thinking something different.”
Everyone who participates in our on-site or on-demand workshops is offered a complimentary 1-on-1 assessment.
Many employees are really confused when it comes to figuring out “how much” and “how to”. In this 2nd step of our approach, we use data-driven analysis to discover if employees have enough of the “right stuff” in their retirement plan.
IS MY 401(k) OKAY?
The personalized 401(k) assessment provides a comprehensive review and answers the following questions for an employee:
“There is no success without action.”
After the complimentary assessment with one of our affiliated advisors, employees can choose to continue the process. Additional analyses (including income/Social Security optimization, portfolio and tax analysis) are completed. Based on this information, we build a customized plan using our Multi-Discipline Retirement Strategy (MDRS). The number one goal of the 3rd step in our approach is to give employees the best possible “sustainable” retirement outcome. In this process, we’re a bit like mad scientists, experimenting with the data and math to come up with just the right “keep more” formula. The strategy has such a powerful impact that it can extend the life of a portfolio by 10 or more years.
“If you know you’re on the right track, if you have this inner knowledge, then nobody can derail your plans.”
Finally, we turn knowledge, analysis and strategy into action by guiding employees to proper conclusions and overseeing the implementation and ongoing review of their plan. For a low monthly fee, we’ll oversee your 401(k) plan: analysis, investment allocation and a bi-annual review, as well as the other components of an overall retirement plan.
All of our “guides” are carefully vetted and trained as “hybrid” retirement specialists which means they are licensed to implement balanced, objective plans with a proper mix of investments AND insurance solutions. We believe that extremist views can sabotage a retirement…while this “Middle Way” leads to wisdom and to having more in retirement. We are committed to putting your employee’s best interests above all else. We are very proud of our fiduciary responsibility and the process we have to ensure it’s always followed. We are also proud to be independent and product agnostic which means we can offer the best solutions for each person’s goals.
“I told my investment advisor I was planning to retire in two years and all he said was, ‘Good.’
I attended a Your Retirement Advisor workshop at my office, had an assessment of my 401(k) plan and spent another 8 hours with a retirement specialist outlining my entire retirement plan. Now I have the knowledge and confidence to retire in 5 years. This is a heck of a lot better than ‘good’!” — Nancy
We help your employees through three stages or retirement preparedness. Typically, we work with people in pre-retirement (ages 35-50), people getting ready to retire (ages 50-65) and those making the transition to and living in retirement (ages 65 and up).
For those nearing retirement, we offer a variety of important services to support the transition from accumulation of income to proper tax efficient income distribution. Unlike many other advisors, we focus your withdrawal strategy on minimizing taxes to as close to zero as possible. We also help people maximize their Social Security benefits and minimizing how much these benefits are taxed. Regardless of the stage your employees are in, Your Retirement Advisor is best positioned to help your employees prepare and prosper in retirement.
Follow the 6 steps to retirement readiness: read how to guides, watch videos and use our retirement calculators. We’re here if you have any questions or would like any number of assessments.
